FAME Fusion of Concert Colors 2009-2010

The Fusion Program promotes interdisciplinary arts understanding by encouraging students to draw connections between musical selections and the visual arts. Music and art specialists guide students to create artwork. All northern Indiana elementary and middle schools are invited to participate in this FREE program

December 7-8, 2009 Installation

December 12 Opening Reception for students and families will be at 1 pm, awards at 1:30 pm, University of St. Francis, Ian and Mimi Rolland Center, Hallway Gallery, Fort Wayne.  FAME Fusion of Concert Colors Exhibition on display through January 17, 2010 (exhibit closed over winter break December 24-January 3)

After January 20, 2010.  All art work must be picked up at FAME office -  IPFW Rhinehart  Music Center, Room #230A, Fort Wayne - with the exception of the the blue ribbon winners which will go on to other venues throughout the year.

March 13-14, 2010The Blue Ribbon work will be on display at the FAME Festival, Grand Wayne Center.  All the FUSION artwork will be photographed and displayed in a huge screen slide show  during the Young People’s Concert, Grand Wayne Center at 3 pm. The musical piece Rain Coming will be performed by the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Orchestra. All FUSION artists receive front row reserved seating to enjoy the 3 pm performance and slide show. Congratulations!
