2016-2017 Annual Report
The theme for the 2016-2017 year was “China” to coincide with the 3oth birthday of FAME.
The FAME Festivals in Fort Wayne (in March) and Wabash (in April) brought all these components together:
Composition Project in Fort Wayne with David Crowe and in Wabash with Dr. FAME.Tim Reid – under their guidance children wrote and orchestrated their own music which was premiered at a performance with Fort Wayne Philharmonic’s Youth Symphony and Concert Orchestras (Fort Wayne) and Fort Wayne Jazz Ensemble (Wabash);
Fusion of Concert Colors project had students listening to the music of Indiana composers and creating an artwork inspired by the music. 200 pieces of artwork was put in a slideshow and featured at the Celebration of Youth Concert at the FAME Festival in March;
Fine Arts Summer Camp capped off the year with a week-long overnight camp at Camp Potawotami where campers experienced sessions in creative dance, musical theatre, art, writing and drama.

The theme for the 2015-2016 year was “Artfully Celebrating Indiana” to coincide with the 2ooth birthday of our state.
The FAME Festivals in Fort Wayne (in March) and Wabash (in April) brought all these components together:

Visiting Artists from around Indiana gave presentations in schools during the week following the Festival that reflected their artistic disciplines- Reed Steele “Raiders of the Lost Art,” Katrina Mitten, a Miami tribe beading artist and Hearthstone Ensemble preformed early music;
